Purpose:
Contributes to the overall success of the Credit Risk Strategy and Business Solutions group within International Commercial Banking ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
What You’ll Do:
Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.
Supports International Banking (IB) Credit360 users as part of the Credit360 steady state team by investigating business issues tied to Credit360, addressing questions from bankers related to Credit360 processes and facility structuring, escalating issues to the appropriate stakeholders; help desk escalations for IB-specific users.
Liaising with downstream users of data and preparing and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cases for ongoing IB-specific releases.
Supports the Bank’s data requirements by addressing any exposure linking or data clean up exercises in Credit360 or other systems impacting IB; manage requests for data.
Responsible for arranging Credit360 training for IB users and ensuring materials are updated as required.
Translations for Spanish communications (User Communications – Releases, Outages, etc.) and guidance.
Supports the business on a range of project and policy items that impact IB.
Led the intake and support prioritization of new requirements for IB; gather feedback from IB stakeholders as needed.
Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
What You'll Bring:
Completed undergraduate degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting or STEM
At least two years of International Banking experience is preferred.
Solid understanding of International Banking and related data.
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish
Very proficient with Excel (knowledge of macros an asset)
Experience in working with and building reports in Power BI is an asset
Ability to multitask and manage numerous priorities, sometimes under very tight deadlines.

Work Arrangement:
Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
