Production Supervisor

ICP Group is looking to hire a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to work in our Tomball, TX plan. The Shift Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the organization and flow of the Disposable Cylinder Department, ensuring timely and accurate startup and completion of disposable work orders based on production demands, and overseeing stock levels of necessary components. This role is crucial for ensuring on-time production and upholding safety and organizational standards in the disposable department.

In this role, you will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for correct valve alignment. Opening and closing valves prior to shift start to ensure proper chemical lines are prepared for operators to use.

  • Responsible for proper shut down of the plant at the end of shift. Verification of all chemical valves, pneumatic pumps, and access doors on a daily basis is required.

  • Sign off work orders at start of shift. By signing off, SS is verifying parts, chemicals, machine settings, and quality control documents (curve chart/pressure check sheet) are accurate for the production work order.

  • Keep the department clean and well-organized. Dry goods, finished goods, chemical totes, scrap area, and dock area are to be kept neat and organized.

  • Monitor areas to prevent 5S issues or safety concerns.

  • Be trained or willing to undergo training in the startup and shutdown procedures for the department.

  • Be trained or willing to undergo training for disposable fill station operation.

  • Be trained and willing to assist operators with troubleshooting and maintenance issues as they arise.

  • Be trained or willing to undergo training for scrap cylinder disposal.

  • Be trained or willing to undergo training for running a WO from start to finish.

  • Monitor stock levels for chemicals, dry goods, cylinders. And to bring material from the warehouse (400, 800, SHW) as needed for production.

  • Initiate purchase orders or requisitions as needed.

  • Record and report daily production numbers to the Production Supervisor for accurate record-keeping and performance monitoring.

  • Adjust WOs to reflect accurate production numbers (Sage / SysPro)

  • Transact inventory accurately to include scrap and waste.

    Additional Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and standards, ensuring the disposable department operates without incidents.

  • Report any safety incidents immediately to Plant Leadership Team / EHS.

  • Be willing to become first aid trained and apply first aid skills if necessary.

  • Participate in regular training and refresher courses as mandated by the company or regulatory bodies.

  • Communicate with other departments, especially blending to ensure chemical availability and shipping to ensure dry good availability in sage.

  • Provide feedback and suggest improvements to optimize disposable operations and improve efficiency.

  • Assist with any other related duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor or plant leadership team.

  • Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a plus.

  • Experience in a production management role preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.

  • Willingness to undergo training and certification as needed.

    Working Conditions:

  • This position requires physical activity, including lifting and moving heavy tanks and components.

  • Work is in varying weather conditions.

  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
