Job Title: Manual Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking two skilled manual machinists to join our team. This role involves setting up and operating your own machines, whether mills or lathes, in a job shop environment. You will be responsible for machining various custom parts, adjusting existing parts to meet customer specifications, and ensuring the highest quality standards using precise measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual mills or lathes

• Run one to three machines simultaneously

• Machine custom parts based on customer requirements

• Adjust existing parts, such as drilling/tapping holes, resizing, or adding components

• Read and interpret blueprints

• Utilize measuring tools such as tape measures, micrometers, calipers, and gauges

• Operate saws and other cutting tools

• Lift up to 50+ lbs

• Maintain general shop cleanliness

Shift/Pay/Additional Information:

Our work environment involves emergency repair for various manufacturing companies and ships. The standard work hours are 7 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with the flexibility to work extended hours, including weekends, during peak season (December to April).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Toledo, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
