JOB SUMMARY
The Sales Support Representative is the primary point of contact for sales, broker and account teams to initiate and complete administrative tasks associated with the sales and client management responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Acts as a point of contact to sales/broker and client management teams to answer questions and resolve issues.
Prepares, submits and distributes various documents (e.g., RFP templates, open enrollment packets) to uphold sales and implementation processes. Maintains regular stock of materials and collateral.
Maintains records in many databases, ensuring changes are updated.
Generates and distributes various reports and analyses.
Provides administrative help including filing, printing, note taking, and/or arranging meetings, conference calls or events. Handles incoming calls and emails in a professional way.
Sorts and distributes mail.
May process quotes or coordinate client renewals following strict Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) timelines.
May meet and greet visitors in a professional and friendly way.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
Two years customer service/administrative assistant experience preferred.
Fully proficient in all Microsoft Office products, including Word, Outlook, Power Point and Excel.
Must be detail oriented.
Able to work well under pressure and multi-task to handle consistent workflow. Initiative to follow-up on pending issues.
Excellent listening skills and retention/memory.
Ability to accurately enter and manipulate data, maintaining a reasonable error rate as established by departmental standards.
Knowledge of sales, renewal and/or enrollment processes.
Effective oral, written and telephone skills.

EDUCATION - H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent
EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
