POSITION: High School Drama Teacher

DUTIES: * Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate drama through the curriculum. * Teach elective courses in drama/performing arts. * Instruct students on drama techniques, such as improvisation, voice projection, and stage presence * Teach students how to read plays with feeling and understand the theater genre * Develops lesson plans to include a balanced Drama program and organizes daily class time so that preparation, rehearsal, and instruction can be accomplished within the allotted time * Evaluates each student's growth and performance, assessing each student's contribution to the performance of the group * Organize and direct school theatre performances for the school and parents, including casting roles and coordinating rehearsals * Coordinate stage production, including sets, props, lighting and costumes. * Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback. * Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues on student progress * Maintain attendance and grade records, and issuing reports to parents. * Stay current with trends and developments in theater education. * Collaborate with other arts faculty and school staff to integrate theater arts into interdisciplinary projects. * Complying with applicable board/administration policies/regulations. * Demonstrate faithfulness and promptness in attendance at work. * Use the District's internet and E-mail system as specified in Policy. * Implement fair and equitable behavioral expectations and responses * Assist with planning and monitoring classroom/department budget or teaching and directing experience.

REQUIREMENTS: * Must have successful teaching experiencing relating to Drama to K-12 students. * Must complete and pass a background check.

WAGE: $51,589.00/ Year

SHIFTS: Full-time - 38 hours per week
