Henry Ford Health System Mammography Tech - Radiology - Contingent - Variable - Taylor, MI in Taylor, Michigan
Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs Radiologic breast imaging procedures for the evaluation of pathological entities as ordered by a physician. Performs related functions according to department protocols. Utilizes independent judgment in determining appropriate radiographic techniques, positioning, and safety practices.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and the advanced registry in Mammography, ARRT (M) (or registry eligible).
If registry eligible, registry must be obtained within 12 months of date of hire.
Failure to obtain registry within the designated time-frame will result in termination of the Mammography Tech position.
Must maintain the required hours of continued medical education.
Must meet all Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) criteria, as well as other regulatory agencies.
