The Institutes of Applied Human Dynamics (IAHD) Training Coordinator in Tarrytown, New York
SUMMARY: Under general supervision, the Training Coordinator is responsible for design, delivery and continuous improvement of training programs; conduct needs assessment, executes training, develops reinforcement and evaluates.
Day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to: 1. Develop curriculum and design training courses. 2. Administer training with the ability to deliver, project and motivate trainees through effective training methodologies both in group and individual training dynamics. 3. Conduct needs assessment and identify training gaps, implementing training best practices to ensure alignment with programmatic and regulatory compliance. 4. Collaborate with staff subject matter experts to create discipline specific course content. 5. Evaluate success of training implementation by assessing achievement of learning objectives and transfer of knowledge to continuously improve training and identify future learning needs. 6. Utilize a variety of techniques, concepts and development and delivery of training. 7. Manage the learning experience consistent with agency person centered thinking philosophy. 8. Maintain annual training calendar. 9. Ensure new hire orientation set up. 10. Track annual training requirements of all employees.
Requirements: BA in Human Resources, Training & Development, Instructional Design or related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience designing, developing, and facilitating corporate or non-profit training programs. Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills. Knowledge of adult learning theories, diversity awareness, and instructional design. Passion for developing talent, coaching others, and driving organizational growth. Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal and analytical skills. Proficient with MS Office suite (intermediate to advance). Valid NYS drivers license (unrestricted), access to a reliable vehicle, willingness/ability to travel to designated sites as needed (Bronx/Westchester - mileage reimbursement provided). Bilingual, fluent in Spanish not required, but preferred. Proficient with Relias or other Learning Management Systems not required, but preferred. Experience with CQL and POMs Training and Interviewing, not required, but preferred. Experience delivering Person Centered Trainings, not required, but preferred. Red Cross CPR/First Aid Certified Trainer or willing to attain certification. SCIP Certified Trainer or willing to attain certification. Background check and drug screening required.
Physical Demands: Travel up to 25%; Must be able and willing to travel to various programs as needed Bronx and Westchester. Multi-purpose training center setting with exposure to the usual office work environment, machinery, and equipment with normal environmental exposures to dust, dirt, noise, and the like. Regular work hours shall be 40 hours, except when attendance is required at conference/seminars, meetings, staff in service and audits. May include occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekend hours.
