We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant in the non-profit industry, based in Tampa, Florida. This role involves a range of accounting responsibilities, including bank reconciliations, month-end close, oversight of payroll, and grant accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data

• Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely completion

• Supervise payroll functions and ensure correct general ledger entries for payroll

• Manage grant accounting, ensuring compliance with grant requirements

• Use Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting

• Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for various accounting tasks

• Perform account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance

• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to verify account balances

• Prepare and post journal entries for accurate recording of transactions

• Contribute to the improvement of accounting processes and procedures

Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Expertise in Bank Reconciliations

• Understanding of General Ledger operations

• Ability to prepare Journal Entries

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Familiarity with NetSuite

• Proficiency in Oracle

• Experience with SAP

• Proven track record of working in non-profit industry

• Prior experience in a Sr. Accountant role or similar

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines

• Knowledge of non-profit accounting principles and regulations

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a plus.
