Introduction

This position requires travel to our West Florida Hospitals. Candidates must live in or open to relocate to Tampa Florida.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As the Director of Patient Navigation, you will drive operational excellence for HCA’s navigation program, specifically ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care through program development. You will serve as a regional leader for executing mid and long-range strategic initiatives to optimize operational performance and coordinate various operational tactical plans while tracking performance against key performance indicators. You will also provide expertise, initiative, leadership, and programmatic oversight to division and facility leadership across navigation programs in their respective region to elevate navigation program performance and ensure high-quality healthcare services for HCA patients. You will provide oversight and leadership to the nurse navigators.

What you will do in this role:

  • Collaborate with division and facility leadership teams and Corporate leadership to implement program improvements that are consistent across the enterprise

  • Execute strategic initiatives to maximize navigation to support service line goals

  • Collaborate with service line leaders to ensure connectivity, intelligence sharing, and alignment

  • Motivate and lead a high-performance team of navigation managers across service lines; attract and retain talented team members, provide mentoring, and develop top talent potential

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the different service line navigation programs

  • Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of division navigation programs, analyzing appropriate internal and external data to identify opportunities to improve service and outcomes

  • Educate key stakeholders on the role and benefits of navigation programs through ongoing outreach

  • Identify and implement strategies to improve patient retention through navigation tactics

  • Monitor and report on program performance, including programmatic, outcome, and financial metrics with a focus on efficient, actionable communications

What you will need in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree - Required

  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role - Required

  • 3+ years of experience in program development - Preferred

  • 1+ years (s) of experience in service line leadership - Preferred
