Description We are offering a contract for a permanent position as a Security Analyst in Tallahassee, Florida. As a Security Analyst, you will be a key player in our IT security team, focusing on system hardening, network security, and identity management. Your role will encompass a range of responsibilities, from managing security tools and supporting threat detection to ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the technical execution of security-related projects, focusing on system hardening and network security.
• Engage in effective communication and collaboration with various teams to meet specific security standards.
• Utilize your expertise in firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems/Intrusion Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), and encryption to ensure secure configurations.
• Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and devise relevant remediation strategies.
• Manage security tools and provide support for incident response, ensuring the seamless integration of security platforms.
• Ensure strict adherence to Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) and State of Florida regulations.
• Work closely with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) teams to address audit gaps.
• Document and provide training on cybersecurity solutions and processes with a focus on CJIS and State regulations.
• Reengineer security processes for improved efficiency and compliance.
• Stay informed about emerging threats and technologies, providing support for cybersecurity issues. Requirements • Exceptional communication skills for articulating security-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff.
• Proven experience in detailed documentation of security-related procedures and protocols.
• Demonstrated abilities in training other staff members on security protocols and procedures.
• Proficiency in managing operations in a security-focused environment.
• Competency in using Microsoft tools and applications.
• In-depth knowledge of compliance requirements in the cybersecurity field.
• Experience in Human Resources (HR) Administration, particularly in relation to security protocols.
• Familiarity with conducting security audits and implementing recommended changes.
• Broad knowledge of security management and database development.
• Understanding of regulation and implementation in the context of cybersecurity.
• Experience with purchase orders and procurement in a cybersecurity context.
• Understanding of conductivity in a cybersecurity context.
• Proven experience in configuration management.
• Ability to ensure deliverables meet security standards and compliance.
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with various teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure.
• Extensive knowledge of cyber security best practices.
• Familiarity with network security and associated technologies.
• Understanding of fiscal responsibilities in a cybersecurity context.
• Knowledge of criminal justice as it applies to cybersecurity.
• Experience with loan renewal processes in a secure environment.
• Familiarity with firewall technologies and their application.
