Description and Requirements

We are seeking a Server Hardware Test Engineer to join our team, focusing on validating server hardware designs and analyzing new features and releases. In this role, you will have the opportunity to create and develop a system hardware validation environment and test cases. You will learn to utilize emulation and platform-level tools to ensure that server production hardware meets specifications.

As a fresh graduate, you will be responsible for assisting in the validation of Intel/AMD platforms. This includes executing validation tests in our lab, analyzing results, identifying issues, and contributing to root cause analysis efforts.

Position Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities of the Server Functional Validation Engineer:

• Perform Server System Integrated Tests, including Function, RAS, Stress, OS tests, 4 corner tests, Margin tests, and Storage/Memory/CPU/PCIe card tests.

• Learn to identify and review design specifications (SPECs), and assist in developing test cases and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) based on product specifications.

• Support in defining test requirements and gaining exposure to supplier test methodologies.

• Assist in drafting test plans and gaining hands-on experience in testing execution processes.

• Familiarize with in-house and industry-standard test utilities, and contribute to automation test case design.

• Participate in defect analysis and contribute to corrective action processes.

• Gain understanding of failure modes in electrical components, PCBs, and electromechanical subsystems.

• Learn to operate laboratory and testing equipment, including chamber controls.

Position Requirements:

• Recent graduate (0-1 year of experience) with a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

• Basic understanding of Intel/AMD platform testing concepts would be advantageous (Nice to have).

• Demonstrated academic or project experience in hardware validation or design is a plus (Nice to have).

• Interest in learning about Server Hardware Design and validation processes.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
