The Position:

The Placer County Information Technology Department is seeking to fill a Senior IT Specialist position to provide IT Field Support throughout the North Tahoe region. This is the only Senior IT Specialist role based in North Tahoe, requiring a highly skilled candidate with extensive endpoint support experience and the ability to work independently, efficiently resolving technology issues without immediate access to nearby teammates. The position includes scheduled on-site workdays as well as emergency technical response on-site days as needed. This role demands a proactive, service-oriented professional with strong technical expertise and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Providing second- and third-level troubleshooting and resolution of computer, network, hardware, and software issues.
• Training and assisting end users at all levels of authority and technical proficiency in the effective use of county computer equipment and software.
• Coordinating IT and non-IT county staff, vendors, and contractors in executing the countys annual Technology Refresh project and other IT initiatives.
• Collaborating with vendors to identify, maintain, upgrade, and repair recommended hardware and software products.
