About You
We’re looking for a Highly Passionate, Driven, Strategic Commercial finance Manager that can get into this exciting business at pace and make an immediate impact.

You will be part of the Finance Function in Market but will partner collaboratively with multi-functional business teams and above market counterparts
About the Role
The Commercial Finance Manager supports development of Diageo Philippines’s multi-year strategic plan and leads the annual financial planning process. It is responsible for proactively providing high quality insights and analysis on drivers of Diageo’s comprehensive performance (Financial performance, Market Share, OWC, ESG) to Diageo’s leadership team, with recommendations on actions/interventions needed to deliver against annual targets.
You will have the opportunity to provide holistic, strategic business and financial leadership to the whole business teams. You will be empowered to manage performance versus agreed targets to identify and flag possible areas of opportunities and/or risk. You will be in crucible position to unlock opportunities to drive performance and create value.
You will play a key critical role in enabling new future growth opportunities via a robust innovation pipeline, entry into new categories and exploring business development opportunities and external partnership (e.g. licensing, royalty, etc). You will lead scoping of opportunities, financial evaluation and qualification including appropriate assessment and balancing statutory, tax and treasury considerations. You will be in a crucible position to make direct recommendations and enable final business decision making.
You will likewise play a crucible role in bringing external insights in by leading the External Intelligence practice.

Top Accountabilities
Functional:
Investment evaluation and resource allocation
Leads the commercial finance agenda, aligned to the long-term strategy and ensuring a strong financial framework is in place to optimize investments
Provide decision support (Stop/Evolve/Start) focused on driving sustainable value, top and bottom line growth
Develop and drive the implementation of local investment measurement and evaluation policy.
Actively provide support to key performance measures, such as provide of timely and accurate financial data and strengthen investment efficiency and effectiveness (i.e. Trade spend, A&P effectiveness)
Strategic performance management
Deliver all metrics of the financial plan including P&L, working capital, operating cash conversion
Lead short and long-term business planning agenda (AOP, SBR) in partnership with cross functional team, aligned to the strategy and ensuring a strong financial framework is in place to optimize investments.
Deliver actionable insights on business performance: 1) Top-line drivers across channels and categories/brands 2) Margin drivers-Volume, Price, Mix, COGS and Productivity 3) Market Share, Stock in trade and ESG
This includes gap identification, appraisal, and approval of measures to improve performance outcomes.
Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices with quality financial simulation/scenario analysis to generate insight and improve products, processes or services.
Support the strategic planning, ad-hoc projects and other finance deliverables
Data analysis
Collect, organise, conduct critical analysis, interpret statistical information and provide meaningful recommendations and decision support for

Constructing and validating predictive models that forecast trends, behaviors, and outcomes, empowering proactive decision-making
Translating intricate data findings into clear, actionable insights that play a pivotal role in shaping business strategies and identify business opportunities, navigate the conversation about resource allocation, monitor needful action to drive sustainable growth.
Developing comprehensive reports, intuitive dashboards, and impactful visualizations to present analytical outcomes effectively to stakeholders, ensuring that data-driven insights are readily accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Experience required/Skills/Capabilities/Languages
A strategic finance and cross functional business leader with a start-up mindset who lives up to Leadership Standards, with a proven track record of commercial finance capability, strategic ability to have a long-term vision & plan for the business while delivering consistent, exceptional business performance.
+10 years finance and Commercial finance/BPM/FP&A experience, ideally +5 years being in emerging markets or highly volatile external environments, 3-5 years of demonstrable experience as a Data Analyst, showcasing an impeccable record of tackling intricate data analysis.
Superior analytical capability aided by Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills to draw data-led insights and drive recommendations for decision and action
Demonstrate deep personal accountability for great performance and hold others to account to the same high standards
Demonstrates confidence in managing risk, volatility, and ambiguity – confident decision maker during times of uncertainty
