SUNY Upstate Medical University Urology Advanced Practice Provider in Syracuse, New York

Job Summary:

The Urology Advanced Practice Provider will serve as an outpatient Full Time APP providing care to patients at the Upstate Health Care Center, Syracuse. As an APP here at Upstate you will provide outpatient management of the Urological and Urological Surgical patients.

Responsibilities will include:

Providing expert level clinical care & coordination of care via a full range of services that will improve quality of patient care assessing.

Evaluating patients, ordering appropriate laboratory testing & diagnostic studies.

Provide outpatient urological procedures, arranging for referrals, testing, consultation, & therapeutic services.

Maintaining outstanding relationships with families, referring physicians & all members of the health care team.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.

NYS Licensed/Registered NP or PA.

Current National Certification consistent to the clinical practice.

NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required. Have a NPI number and be Medicare enrolled with a Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) (or eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire.

CPR-BLS Certification required at the time of appointment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ambulatory, Urological experience Preferred.

Work Days:

Monday - Friday, Days
