Now, Let’s Get Down to Business

This role is designed to lead Edgewell Personal Care (EPC) Category Management for all EPC Segments with the overarching vision to “Win more Decisions” and” Partner to Win” with customers.

The Senior Category and SRGM Manager is responsible for developing effective Category Strategies which are executed and deliver against the EPC Oceania HUB business Strategies. You’ll also be responsible for developing strong customer partnerships by providing category solutions based on the identification of compelling insights derived from a range of sources to drive future customer and category growth and develop insightful and actionable reporting, analysis, and recommendations to the key business stakeholders.

Here’s a sample of what you’ll get up to:

• Create & implement Category Strategies that drive long term category value to secure category advisor status with key strategic retailers. (Strategic Choices)

• Ensure Category Strategies are aligned with local Brand and Account plans & deliver business targets.

• Deliver tailored Categories Strategies to support and leverage NPD launches in collaboration with the ANZ Marketing team.

• Develop the category, shopper & individual customer rationale for NPD.

• Co-Lead customer range reviews, demonstrating thought leadership and deploying effective argumentation. This should result in the delivery of ours and our customer’s business objectives.

• Create fact-based retailer engagement presentations with clear rationale & numerical quantification of opportunities.

• Alongside Shopper insights, ensure best use of Category and retailer-specific data in support of landing the optimum category and EPC outcomes with retailers.

• Leverage Shopper and Category insights as appropriate to advise Sales & Marketing on key segments and business opportunities/ risks to drive EPC’s business goals.

• Develop excellent customer relationships and partnerships with selected retailers, so that we can deliver against business priorities.

• Fully leverage business intelligence resources to develop a credible position for EPC with retailers.

• Leverage data and insights to identify opportunities and gaps in shelf execution, assortment, and merchandising for EPC products across different customer segments and channels.

• Negotiate, Influence and execute optimal shelf plans that maximize sales, profitability, and shopper satisfaction for EPC and the customer.

We are looking for someone with extensive Category Management experience ideally gained within a Fast Moving Consumer Goods or Cosmetics business. Here’s what we are looking for:

• University degree or equivalent in commercial related subject.

• Significant Category management experience preferably in an FMCG environment

• Commercial Acumen including P&L management / Analytics to optimise SRGM (Pack/Price/Promo Architecture)

• Branded experience essential

• Strong understanding of the role of Insights, Analytics and Shopper Marketing in Category Management essential.

• Experience of working with a range of Shopper and Consumer data e.g., Circana, Dunhumby, Quantium, etc

• Outstanding verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

• Excellent computer skills, including spread sheet, database, and presentation software.

• Sales experience is an asset.

• Highly developed project management skills
