Description
We are currently seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to maintain our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for accuracy. Alongside this, this role extends to managing and fulfilling limited human resource tasks for our team of 10 employees.
Responsibilities:
Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
Verify transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, and customer ledger.
Perform partial checks of the posting process.
Prepare AP/AR, month-end, and year-end reports.
Execute bank reconciliations and conduct payroll for 10 employees.
Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements.
Ensure legal compliance by understanding impending and current legislation associated with HR/payroll.
Undertake minimal HR duties and responsibilities.
Analyze financial data and prepare reports as needed.
Might be asked to take care of additional bookkeeping responsibilities.
Requirements
3-5 years of proven bookkeeping experience.
Experience in the Textile Industry is preferred.
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
Experience with QuickBooks software is highly preferred.
Proficiency in MS Excel (intermediate level).
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
An energetic team player with a positive attitude.
Desire to grow with the company and willingness to take on increasing responsibilities.
Understanding of confidentiality principles is necessary.
Knowledge of laws and compliance concerning HR/payroll.
Proven tenure in previous roles is an added advantage.
Candidate should be willing to “roll up their sleeves” to drive company success.
Ability to analyze and meticulously organize financial data.
