Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience with data structures/algorithms and software development in Python or Go.
3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
Experience with machine learning algorithms and tools (e.g., TensorFlow), artificial intelligence, deep learning, natural language processing or other ML discipline.
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
Experience in Generative AI (Large Language Models, Multi-Modal, Large Vision Models).
Experience with cloud infrastructure.

Our team develops AI-powered solutions that transform how GCP customers and support teams understand and resolve GCP issues. We're building systems leveraging NLP for user intent, ML for rapid root cause analysis, and actionable remediation, creating chat-based and proactive investigation tools to enhance Google Cloud Platform (GCP) accessibility and reliability.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000-$244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Train and deploy text classification systems, fine-tune and distill large language models (LLMs) like Gemini, and explore novel ML techniques to enhance troubleshooting accuracy.
Design and implement systems for collecting user feedback, processing data sources (logs, metrics, documentation), and creating high-quality datasets for ML training.
Analyze model performance, identify quality gaps, and propose data-driven solutions to enhance troubleshooting effectiveness.
Work closely with engineers, data scientists, product managers, and quality evaluation teams to deliver impactful solutions.
Refine and improve our AI troubleshooting agent through data analysis, experimentation, and feedback loops.
