The IS&T Retail Engineering organization has the goal of providing intuitive, seamless and inspiring customer shopping experiences through interactions with our people, products and services. We are looking for a hands-on Security Program/Project Manager who can lead large strategic programs/projects by mobilizing cross-functional team members across both business and IS&T leaders to influence, drive, and implement security initiatives.

Description

Our ideal candidate has the ability drive the implementation of security best practices across new and existing projects and services. You will work cross-functionally with other project managers and engineers to facilitate discussions, implement security processes, and drive initiatives to maintain a high standard of security across our organization. Key Responsibilities: Partner with engineering and security teams to embed security techniques and initiatives into the project lifecycle. Drive security initiatives, and internal campaigns, ensuring alignment with broader organizational security objectives. Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders, providing regular project updates, addressing risks, and ensuring transparency. Facilitate discussions on security best practices, risk management, and privacy related concerns to align with Apple values. Act as a security advocate, promoting a culture of security, compliance, and privacy within the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas : Project / program / portfolio management, operations, or relevant field

  • Proven ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects with minimal oversight, and drive cross-functional initiatives under pressing deadlines.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically in high-pressure or rapidly evolving environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to navigate and thrive in ambiguous situations, demonstrating a strong capacity to drive projects forward and make data-driven decisions.

  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with internal and external teams, fostering collaboration while effectively balancing competing interests and interpersonal dynamics.

  • Willingness to admit when uncertain and proactively ask questions to ensure clarity.

  • Highly accountable and responsible, demonstrating self-motivation, self-direction, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Experience working closely with engineering and security teams to embed security techniques and initiatives into the project lifecycle.

  • Adept at thriving in ambiguous situations, with a talent for identifying root issues and solving them collaboratively.

  • Ability to grasp issues quickly and make educated decisions in the absence of complete information.

  • Experience in collecting data, reporting on key metrics, and developing dashboards to track performance and trends.

  • Ability to distill complex information into clear, concise, and actionable insights for diverse audiences.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Experience with collaboration tools like Tableau, Quip, Confluence, Slack, Wrike.

  • Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle (i.e., Waterfall, Agile).

  • Experience in risk/vulnerability management.

  • Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master).

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $205,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
