This role can be based in San Francisco or Mountain View.
We’re looking for a seasoned product marketing leader to launch a portfolio of subscription products - including AI-powered experiences - for this planet’s professionals and help build the next chapter for LinkedIn. The Group Manager of Product Marketing for LinkedIn Premium subscriptions will drive product strategy, build meaningful product experiences, and craft compelling narratives for LinkedIn Premium, the company’s most innovative & fastest growing subscription business.
Reporting into the Head of Premium Marketing, this role requires a strategic & influential insights-driven thought leader who can activate cross-functional partners, lead a team of inbound product marketers, direct customer & competitive research workstreams, and direct multiple marketing functions to launch innovative and new product solutions that win hearts and earn subscriber engagement.
This Group Manager will manage their team to partner with cross-functional teams to create alignment and action across many teams, move roadblocks and simplify complex concepts while commanding confidence with partners (R&D, Market Research, UXR, BizDev, Data Science, Strategic Finance, Monetization, all Marketing functions, PR, Customer Service). We are a lean, resourceful team that rigorously operates at high velocity with increased Exec visibility which brings a need for precision and measurable ROI. Responsibilities
Manages, develops, and energizes a team of inbound product marketers to create & execute Premium portfolio SKU strategy; sets daily example of integration with R&D teams at aligned altitudes ranging from daily standups to exec meetings. The Premium Business Unit operates with trusted advisorship; cross-functional teammates have strong respect and reliance on each function’s expertise.
Drives concept co-creation & customer needs validation by influencing Marketing Research strategy & budget. Partners with Market Research teams to gather actionable qualitative and quantitative customer & competitive insights that represent internal & external priorities to build alongside the product development process to deliver on customers’ unmet needs.
Drives coordinated launch-readiness motions with cross-functional teams & runs Premium’s Early Preview beta program. Leads weekly cadence with cross-functional teams PR, Customer Support, Integrated Marketing, Channels teams, UXR, and Market Research to leverage customer feedback and telemetric data to inform iterative product dev and marketing campaigns.
Owns Premium Storybook: the value-based messaging, positioning, and naming guide. Partners with Monetization team on pricing & packaging. And influences marketing claims & customer testimonials programming, which are utilized in broad strokes across all channel campaigns, product surfaces, and experimentation copy to drive subscriber acquisition, value delivery, and retention.
Accountable for Premium brand’s external partnership program with BizDev and Product teams; evolve partnerships strategy, nurture external relationships, secure co-marketing agreements, prioritize research studies for customer feedback, and optimize campaigns.
Expert of Audience & Premium SKUs, regularly presenting and briefing teams/agencies for sharp content development across mediums. Partner to Premium GTM Lead to influence GTM playbook. Partner to Growth Marketing team to influence subscription lifecycle experimentation across consideration, conversion, onboarding, engagement, upgrade/downgrade, and churn.
Strong storyteller who scales the value of LinkedIn Premium by bringing subscription value to life through development of story arc, tension, and release while keeping in mind a problem-solution orientation.
Compelling & efficient communicator to a wide set of cross-functional teams. Interfaces with exec stakeholders on a weekly cadence.
Embodies LinkedIn’s leadership principles to create clarity, generate energy and deliver success
Basic Qualifications
8+ years of experience in product management or product marketing roles at a technology company
3+ years of people management experience
BA/BS degree or equivalent working experience
Preferred Qualifications
Determined manager & talent developer who coaches and challenges the team to reach new business heights while accomplishing personal career goals
Proven experience leading fast paced teams amongst constantly evolving priorities; self-starter who can manage & motivate through ambiguous situations in a start-up type of team
Track record of launching 0-1 products, influencing go/no-go builds, running beta programs, driving partner marketing, and translating data in business strategy
Expert with Exec, Sr Levels & Stakeholder management; comfortable presenting to and delivering updates on a weekly cadence
Problem solver who thrives in building trusted advisorships with cross-functional teams: solution-oriented and resourcefully activates teams across the company to collaborate & deliver results
Strategic & futuristic; building process, programs, and partnerships that can scale vs. solving for current instance
Strong communicator & ability to translate complex ideas into simple, clear written/spoken prose for any audience (internal business needs & external customer language)
Growth mindset, curious, self-aware, and passionate about continuous improvement; democratizes knowledge to develop teams, evolve projects, and create runway for the company
Chief attention to and command of detail, and project management skills to focus on key outcomes amidst competing priorities and tight deadlines

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
The pay range for this role is $144,000 to $224,000. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
