ACCOUNTANT II AT PRIMEFLIGHT
The Accountant II will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This role involves performing daily accounting activities, monitoring financial data, and assisting with month end close. The Accountant II will establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles to maintain financial integrity. Additionally, they will assist with the annual audit, and provide recommendations for process improvements. This position requires strong analytical skills and a commitment to maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in preparing monthly debt compliance for revolver loan
Ensure accounting transactions are in compliance with GAAP
Assist Corporate Controller with month end and year end close process
Research and resolve technical accounting issues using FASB guidance
Assist in preparing documentation for external auditors
Reconcile sub-ledgers to general ledger control accounts
Reconcile intercompany transactions between parent and subsidiaries to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
Assist with the coordination and completion of annual audits
Provide recommendations to improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
Meet financial accounting objectives
Maintain financial security by establishing internal controls
Research and resolve technical accounting issues using FASB code
Other special projects and duties as assigned by management
Work in an office environment
May be assigned other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
18 years of age or older
Eligible to work in the United States
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (required)
Public Accounting Experience (Big 4/Big10) is a plus
Proven Technical Accounting Experience required
CPA designation a plus or eligibility and expectation to sit for the CPA exam
Proficient with Microsoft Office software
Sage X3 accounting software experience a plus
Demonstrated verbal/written communication skills
Well-developed planning and organizational skills which include the ability to work independently, prioritize activities, meet commitments, and proactively manage time and a heavy workload.
Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents
Ability to work independently and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Pass a background check and drug screen
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY/WORKING CONDITIONS MAY INCLUDE:
