TEKsystems Business Systems Analyst Sr - Contractor Strongsville, Ohio

Summary:

The main function is to analyze science engineering business and all other data processing problems for application to electronic data processing systems. A typical business systems analyst is responsible for analyzing user requirements procedures and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities workflow and scheduling limitations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Gather requirements from business units and translate those to programmers and developers.

  • Confer with clients regarding the nature of the information processing or computation needs.

  • Prepare cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation.

  • Interview or survey workers observe job performance or perform the job to determine what information is processed and how it is processed.

  • Coordinate and link the computer systems within an organization to increase compatibility and so information can be shared.

  • Consult with management to ensure agreement on system principles.

  • Expand or modify system to serve new purposes or improve work flow.

    Skills:

  • Verbal and written communication skills problem solving skills attention to detail and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage ones time.

  • Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.

  • Knowledge of design techniques and principles involved in production of drawings and models.

  • Knowledge of computer software such as Visual Basic Java SQL etc.

    Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science computer engineering or related field required or equivalent work experience required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.

  • 6-8 years experience required.

Roles and Responsibilities:

▪Document business needs as actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.

▪Ensure stories adhere to company standards for completion. For example, labels used, project information present, proper story statement and ACs present.

▪Resolve ambiguities in requirements by engaging with lines of business, Product Owner etc.

▪Work with business and technology teams to determine BRE rules. Document results in BFR rules spreadsheet format.

▪Create document form field mapping to be used to determine WC map and Postman

▪Coordinate with Print Center representatives when additional batches are introduced

▪Supports resolution of obstacles raised by the team members

▪Supports QAs and POs with acceptance testing

▪Update Operation Runbooks with batch processing information

▪Update Release status sheets

▪Participate in Release Review with Run the Bank team (occurs in Bi-weekly Tech Meeting)

▪Update the Source Confluence page for new/updated integrations. Information on the pages is used by source developers and teams.

▪Review mapping with source system representatives

▪Assist in providing estimates as requested

▪Actively participates and facilitates agile ceremonies. This includes Stand-ups, Refinements, Retrospectives and Demos

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
