Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Senior Test Engineer to join one of our largest DoD clients out of Warren, MI that will be onsite 3 days a week. This person will join a team of test engineers who work across multiple combat vehicles. This person will be responsbile for developing requirements, writing test procedures, and executing tests. This person will have to enter into combat vehicles as well, so willingness to crawl into small combat vehicles is required. This test team develops their own plans on each combat vehicle; these tests can either be automated or manual depending on the vehicle. There is an initiative to automate them all within the next few years. This position also requires a lot of cross functional work with multiple teams.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Skills and Requirements

Must Haves:

  5+ years of experience as a Test Engineer.

  Strong experience with components and interfaces, particularly physical ones and serial communication.

  Previous experience with test scripts, including proficiency in C or Python, and a solid understanding of software and how it operates. The team is transitioning from manual operations to automation.

  Comfortable entering and working inside combat vehicles for testing purposes.

  Willingness to work cross-functionally with various teams.

  Bachelors degree in Engineering or Computer Science.

  Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.

  Proficiency in Python. Plusses:

  Previous DoD or combat vehicle experience

  Active Secret Clearance

  Recording tool Zephyr, its a recording tool

  Any previous programming experience (preferable in C++)

Embedded or Linux experience null
