VF Corporation Manager, Digital Marketplace (Smartwool & icebreaker) in Stabio, Switzerland

Icebreaker and Smartwool are looking for an exceptional Manager, Digital Marketplace (Smartwool & icebreaker) to join our team based in Stabio, Switzerland.

Our portfolio’s purpose is to transform the synthetic performance apparel category with merino-based, responsible product and brand solutions.

Let’s Talk about the Role

In this role as Digital Marketplace Manager , you will oversee and nurture Smartwool (SW) & Icebreaker (IB) business across platforms owned and operated by key digital partners. You will be responsible for crafting and executing portfolio-based marketplace strategy, scoping IB and SW presence on each marketplace as well as running Smartwool online store operated on a concession model.

You will support the implementation of the brands strategic orientation, maintenance of partners relationships as well as the expansion of the business according to the EMEA strategy.

How You Will Make a Difference

Marketplace Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop a comprehensive marketplace strategy for both Smartwool (SW) and Icebreaker (IB);

  • Drive execution vs. plans, by managing a seamless Go to Market process and maximize business opportunities;

  • Scope the presence of SW and IB across different online platforms, ensuring optimal visibility and performance;

  • Master the digital market environment establishing a clear understanding of account strategies, consumer profiles and buying trends;

  • Monitor performance and report on results leveraging main digital KPIs

  • Manage SW online store operating under a concession model;

Brand Implementation and Relationship Management:

  • Align with Natural Portfolio strategic orientation, ensuring consistent representation and adherence to brand guidelines;

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners;

  • Work closely with all business stakeholders (merchandising, wholesale/ brand marketing, operations, sales analysis, customer service…) on a cross functional mindset and attitude;

Business Expansion:

  • Drive business growth by expanding SW and IB presence in line with the EMEA strategy;

  • Identify opportunities for revenue growth, product placement, and promotional activities;

  • Monitor marketplace trends and adapt strategies accordingly;

Skills for Success

  • Education: University Degree or equivalent, preferably in Business or economics;

  • Proven experience in managing digital marketplaces and DTC e-commerce platforms;

  • Strong understanding of marketplace dynamics, including pricing, promotions, and customer behavior;

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills;

  • Ability to analyse data and derive actionable insights;

  • Passion for outdoor and performance apparel brands;

  • English proficiency;

  • Experience: must have a minimum of 5 years within digital business environment;
