This take-charge individual will lead procurement strategy and activities within the Logistics Procurement category and subcategories, specifically Truckload, Intermodal, Bulk and Rail. The strong performer will be recognized as a procurement strategy expert and will collaborate with cross functional teams including global logistics, North America (domestic) logistics, key suppliers, and industry experts to understand current trends for continual innovation and process improvement. This leadership role will also have a minimum of one direct report who supports the strategy and implementation of procurement activities across the logistics procurement function. What You Will Do: Develops, leads and executes category plan focused on short and long term goal achievement, leveraging internal and external considerations Identifies, develops, and implements global and regional sourcing strategies to maximize value, reducing total delivered cost, mitigating headwinds and improving security of supply Provides leadership, coaching and feedback on the logistics sourcing process to build capability and mature practices across the team Effectively communicates strategies, results, and metrics to leadership teams as required Develops contract strategies and effectively negotiates with key suppliers for the benefit of Ecolab and in line with business requirements and goals Stays abreast of industry trends for assigned categories; provides guidance and recommendations to business units to support cost, capacity, service and sustainability objectives Effectively implements strategic supplier strategies and initiatives to achieve maximum value Develops and drives strategic projects to improve procurement processes, tools, and efficiencies Collaborates with analytics and reporting teams to create and optimize internal procurement reporting Leads, coaches, and develops direct reports and/or cross functional teams to ensure strong performance and build high performing teams Interviews, identifies, and recommends strong talent for the organization Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field 7 years of experience in procurement, logistics or supply chain Immigration Sponsorship is not offered for this role Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field Experience in Logistics Procurement Demonstrated history of leadership, teamwork, and project management skills Demonstrated competitive drive and strong orientation for results and achievement Demonstrated skills in clear communication and presentation Demonstrated professionalism and strong presence in interactions with others Benefits Ecolab strives to provide comprehensive and market-competitive benefits to meet the needs of our associates and their families.Click here to see our benefits.
