Role Summary

This role will be an integral part in the Corporate Accounting SEC reporting team and be responsible for quarterly 10Q/10K reporting, as well as monthly accounting for the parent companies.

Role Responsibilities

• Responsible for certain US GAAP financial reporting activities for The Cigna Group, including disclosures supporting SEC Forms 10-Q and 10-K.

• Ensure satisfaction of disclosure requirements listed per GAAP Disclosure Checklist.

• Support monthly close for the parent companies.

• Participate in special projects such as the implementation of new technology, adoption of new accounting guidance and associated restatement of prior period financials, etc.

• Support SOX compliance and external audit processes.

Qualifications

• CPA designation preferred

• Prior experience in public and/or corporate accounting

• Strong analytical, problem solving skills and business acumen

• Ability to quickly learn and adopt

• Attention to details

• Ability to balance high-priority, long-term projects with short-term, immediate deadlines and ability to multi-task.

• Demonstrate initiative with commitment and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Strong writing, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
