The Cigna Group Senior Accountant - SEC Reporting - Hybrid in St. Louis, Missouri
Role Summary
This role will be an integral part in the Corporate Accounting SEC reporting team and be responsible for quarterly 10Q/10K reporting, as well as monthly accounting for the parent companies.
Role Responsibilities
Responsible for certain US GAAP financial reporting activities for The Cigna Group, including disclosures supporting SEC Forms 10-Q and 10-K.
Ensure satisfaction of disclosure requirements listed per GAAP Disclosure Checklist.
Support monthly close for the parent companies.
Participate in special projects such as the implementation of new technology, adoption of new accounting guidance and associated restatement of prior period financials, etc.
Support SOX compliance and external audit processes.
Qualifications
CPA designation preferred
Prior experience in public and/or corporate accounting
Strong analytical, problem solving skills and business acumen
Ability to quickly learn and adopt
Attention to details
Ability to balance high-priority, long-term projects with short-term, immediate deadlines and ability to multi-task.
Demonstrate initiative with commitment and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Strong writing, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
