Business Unit Overview

8th Avenue Food & Provisions is a growing organization made up of businesses that produce and sell quality products including pasta, peanut butter, granola, and fruit and nut trail mixes to retail, foodservice and ingredient customers. The company was formed in October 2018 through a combination of Post Holdings’ private brands businesses and is owned by Post Holdings and funds affiliated with Thomas H. Lee Partners, L.P. (“THL”), a private equity firm.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Customer Supply Chain Specialist will serve as the point of contact for our customers and the sales account managers. The CSC Specialist will be responsible for validating customer purchase orders, pricing, off-invoice promotions, customer incentives and freight requirements. This position will handle the order management of customer orders from receipt to delivery. This role will work with sales, planning, distribution, and logistics to ensure customer demand is achieved. This position will be responsible for customer satisfaction and required to meet department goals set by Customer Service Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary point of contact for our customers and sales team. Process and manage customer orders, EDI and Manual order types. Provide primary support to the Customer Service function of all other business units within 8th Avenue. Support operations from coast to coast across North America. Develop external and internal customer relationships to provide superior customer service. Validate and verify pricing, lead-time, promotions and allowances. Partner with sales, planning, quality, and logistics to ensure customer demand is achieved. Understand Company & Customer KPIs and report regularly against these targets. Reconciling account information and communication with both internal and external departments. Partner with accounts receivable to minimize credits/debits and sales deductions. Analyze, coordinate, and implement projects designed to support department and/or key customer objectives. Support potential travel requests to support 8th Avenue with new process integration and system implementation, associated with M&A or new entity set up. Additional duties, as assigned by management. Competencies / Skills/ Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Beginner to intermediate proficiency with JD Edwards or similar ERP system. Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to work in a self-directed team environment.

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelors’ Degree from a four (4) year college or university in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 1+ years customer service experience. 3+ years’ experience in Supply Chain or Logistics preferred. Experience in dealing with consumer-packaged goods, preferably private brands, preferred. Certification / Licenses: Must possess a valid U.S. Driver’s License.

Physical Requirements: This position is regularly required to communicate with others, both oral and written. This position is occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Travel: This position may travel up to 5% of the time.
