Job Description
The Marketing Program at St. Cloud State University has one full-time probationary position.
Teach undergraduate and/or graduate level marketing courses both online and in-person as needed and contribute to achievement of program goals which include:
Providing an effective learning environment for student success
Maintaining AACSB-International accreditation
Research and other scholarly activity and maintaining scholarly academic qualified status as defined by accreditation standards
Curriculum and program development and enhancement
Serving our students, the program, the business school, the university, and various publics.
In order to be considered for tenure, the successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to: teach and/or perform assignment effectively in other current assignments, produce a record of scholarly or creative achievement or research, continue preparation and study, contribute to student growth and development and provide service to the University and community.
Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Marketing from an AACSB-International accredited institution (ABDs with planned completion within a year are also considered)
Evidence of ability to teach marketing courses effectively both online and in-person.
Strong interest in teaching and conducting research in the area of marketing
Evidence of ability and commitment to conduct research and other scholarly achievements in marketing consistent with AACSB-International accreditation
Ability to contribute to program goals
Ability to teach and work effectively with persons from culturally diverse backgrounds
Willingness to provide service to the university community
Willingness to contribute to student growth and development
Preferred Qualification
Demonstrated experience in teaching using both online and in-person formats with a focus on innovative and engaging pedagogical practices
Professional experience in marketing, sales, or a related field
Active involvement in professional organizations (for e.g., AMA, SMA, or similar)
Record of publishing in peer-reviewed journals
Evidence of teaching and/or conducting research in a variety of marketing areas including in marketing strategy, digital marketing, or other emerging fields
Experience working with diverse student populations and fostering an inclusive learning environment
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and initiatives
