Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, journalism, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in marketing and/or public relations.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels such as Meta, email campaigns, Google, etc. Digital Marketing and E-Commerce certification with Google is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success in executing strategies that drive business growth and enhance brand visibility.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

Required Skills

  • Strong writing skills, ranging from press releases and website copy to social media posts.
  • Experience creating photo and video content with the ability to turn them into engaging, enjoyable content.
  • The knowledge required to assess ROI and use that information on future campaigns.
  • The ability to brainstorm with a team, finding creative ways to tell our story.
  • An eagerness to engage with the community through events, giveaways, community involvement, and volunteer work.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro) is a bonus.
  • The discipline to complete tasks with little-to-no supervision. Must demonstrate a team-first attitude and voluntarily answer phone calls, respond to emails, and complete variable tasks.
  • The ability to read and interpret various documents and policies, write reports, and communicate effectively and appropriately with colleagues, customers, and fellow business owners.
  • Strong fundamental mathematical skills and attention to detail.
  • The confidence to problem-solve and troubleshoot practical problems.
  • A desire to learn new tools, software, and technologies quickly and with a mindset toward continuous improvement.
  • An ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.

Essential Functions

Summary

Outcomes and Responsibilities(Other duties may be assigned)

Public Relations:

  • Represent Phelps County Bank at community events and be a confident ambassador.
  • Partner with our Employee-Owners on business development strategies.
  • Implement public relat on events and community involvement.
  • Look for opportunities to reach new customers through sponsorships, donations, bank events, etc.

Marketing strategies:

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Director and marketing team to establish objectives aligned with the overall bank's goals.
  • Create and implement promotions, events, public relations, and digital marketing materials, in order to increase brand awareness, customer acquisition, and customer retention.
  • Gather data and demographics to target specific populations for market growth.
  • Optimize marketing spend to achieve maximum impact and cost-efficiency.
  • Model community involvement by volunteering for projects, boards, and events.

Brand management:

  • Ensure consistent brand messaging and positioning across all marketing channels and customer touchpoints.
  • Monitor brand perception and collaborate with the marketing team to strengthen the bank's brand image in the community.

Market research and competitor analysis:

  • Keep an eye on the market and identify opportunities and potential threats.
  • Use data-driven insights to inform marketing strategies and adapt tactics accordingly.

Team leadership:

  • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Encourage fellow Employee-Owners to represent Phelps County Bank with excellence.

Communication:

  • Exhibit exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex concepts.
  • Be a spokesperson, confidently interacting with the community in order to market our brand.
  • Display an in-depth knowledge of Phelps County Banks products and services.
  • Utilize a strong attention to detail when proofreading marketing materials.
