Pearson Analyst, Strategic Accounts in Springfield, Illinois
The Analyst, Strategic Accounts will play a critical role in analyzing client needs, identifying growth opportunities, and delivering data-driven insights that optimize Pearson’s engagement with enterprise clients. This role will focus on understanding client and industry priorities, uncovering account-specific opportunities, and providing recommendations that improve client outcomes and deepen long-term partnerships. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical and commercial mindset, takes a customer-first approach, and has the ability to translate complex data into actionable business recommendations that deliver value. This role is perfect for someone who wants to influence enterprise client relationships, drive revenue growth, and guide strategic decision-making through deep client analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Insights & Value Optimization
Analyze public and proprietary data, solution engagement metrics, and business outcomes to identify how Pearson can deliver greater value to clients.
Conduct client health assessments, tracking adoption, renewal likelihood, and expansion opportunities.
Develop always-on insights on how Pearson’s solutions align with client business goals across key personas, helping sales and GTM teams tailor their approach.
Monitor industry trends, skills development needs, and evolving client challenges to recommend new solutions and services.
Work directly with key accounts to develop data-backed value reports and recommendations that strengthen Pearson’s position as a trusted partner.
Strategic Account Growth & Expansion
Identify upsell, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities based on client research, success milestones, and business needs.
Partner with account teams to build customer success stories and data-driven business cases for renewals and expansions.
Conduct competitive benchmarking to show how Pearson’s solutions drive better outcomes compared to alternatives.
Support strategic customer planning sessions and executive briefings with insights on client performance and growth potential.
Customer-Centric Analysis & Reporting
Build customized analytics dashboards and reports that help clients track ROI, adoption rates, and workforce/market impact.
Provide predictive insights on potential risks (churn, declining engagement) and proactive recommendations for improvement.
Help clients understand how AI-driven tools, digital credentials, and learning solutions can enhance their workforce/market skilling capabilities.
Utilize AI and automation tools to streamline client reporting and enhance the efficiency of data-driven recommendations.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
1-3 years of experience in client analytics, business intelligence, or strategic account support within an enterprise environment.
Experience working with large enterprise clients, workforce development or talent development programs, or B2B SaaS solutions is preferred.
Demonstrated experience with AI-driven tools, automation, and analytics in an operational or strategic capacity.
Skills:
Strong client-focused analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into meaningful client insights.
Proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau), CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), and Excel (pivot tables, data modeling).
Ability to craft persuasive, data-driven narratives that support client outcomes and business growth.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage directly with clients and articulate value insights.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, consultative environment, collaborating across sales, product, and GTM teams.
Ability to leverage AI technologies to streamline workflows, enhance decision-making, and optimize operational strategies
What to expect from Pearson
Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, New York State, New York City, Washington State, and Washington DC laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
The full-time salary range for this position is between $110,000-$120,000
