Our client in Spokane is searching for a Staff Accountant to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. Position Overview

As a Staff Accountant, you’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, contributing to month-end close processes, and providing critical financial insights. Experience with ERP systems is preferred but not required—our client is willing to train the right person who brings the skills and mindset needed to excel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.

• Perform in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making and operational insights.

• Manage, track, and analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.

• Utilize ERP systems to streamline reporting and data management (experience preferred).

• Collaborate with the accounting and finance teams to support audits and special financial projects as needed.

  Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

• ERP system experience is highly preferred, but training is available for motivated candidates.

• Strong understanding of month-end close processes and general accounting practices.

• Highly developed analytical skills and a strong attention to detail.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced skills preferred).

• Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
