Incumbent serves as Secretary for St. Joseph County Veterans Service Office, responsible for.
Duties: Provide general administrative support to the Veterans Office, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars and handling all correspondence. Assist with projects such as visiting nursing homes to see Veterans, assist in scheduling all appointments and manage all the filing in the office and telephone management. Assist in disability claims with the Veterans. Assist in ordering all materials to keep the office always supplied.
Strong organizational and time-management skills. With the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service-oriented approach. Attention to detail and discretion when handling confidential information. Proficiency in MS Office, and other relevant software applications
Ability to meet all hiring and retention requirements including drug test.
