Summary:
Treasury Wine Estates (TWE) seeks an experienced Maintenance Lead. The Maintenance Lead maintenance shift team into providing services to the entire SBC team to ensure safe and effective operation of our equipment and facilities.
Key Responsibilities include:
Perform duties safely and encourage safe practices throughout SBC
Inspect safety switches and safety guarding on all pieces of production equipment
Perform Lock-Tag-Clear-Try procedures on all pieces of production equipment
Gather all the shift information to effectively communicate to the site through our pass down system
Help and guide the maintenance shift into effectively troubleshooting potential issues
Help and guide the maintenance shift team into booking wrench time
Make sure that maintenance team takes their lunches and breaks on time without loosing insight to production issues.
Lead the passdown meetings for the next shift
Bring safety awareness to his shift members
Coordinate with the maintenance shift to free up resources to accommodate time into a W.O. or a PM
For each piece of production equipment:
Have a basic understanding of operator procedures (safety considerations, start up, normal operations, shut down)
Change over equipment in preparation for new product specifications and oversee start-ups
Troubleshoot equipment (e.g., fault isolation, corrective action) to reduce downtime
Perform preventative maintenance (e.g., inspection, alignment, cleaning, lubrication, lifecycle management) according to the equipment’s technical manual and manufacturer’s specifications
Follow W.O. process to ensure maintenance structure is effectively followed
Perform corrective maintenance (e.g., fault isolation, corrective action, research/selection of parts) to reduce downtime
Perform the following general maintenance tasks:
Pumps: Troubleshoot any malfunction (e.g., flow, electrical, mechanical, vacuum, positive displacement, centrifugal) on a stationary pump
Electrical: Isolate simple faults and replace motors, switches, sensors and other minor electrical devices
Welding: Perform basic welding skills (MIG and TIG) and cutting skills
Plumbing: Select materials and install piping for a wide variety of purposes (e.g., air, water/liquids, products)
Pneumatic systems: Troubleshoot pneumatic systems (including basic solenoid maintenance)
Machining: Perform simple machining operations (e.g., drilling, tapping, broaching sprockets, grinding, polishing) to proper specification
Work orders: Analyze and complete work orders
Parts research: Look up parts in technical manuals, vendor catalogs and the internet
Understand general operating concepts for the SBC facility:
The operation of the wine tanker truck off-loading stations and how to isolate process-flow
Qualification:
High school diploma or GED
Electrical Course Certificate
Welding & Machining Certificate
Physically able to repeatedly lift a 40-pound case of wine
About You
- You have 5+ years previous maintenance experience (with a bottling or packaging line). You have excellent communication skills and are able to interact with production personnel. You have strong mechanical aptitude. You have the ability to problem solve in mechanical and electrical issues. You are fluent and have the ability to read and write in English. You are able to work overtime and weekends as needed; and perform a change of shift to cover attendance gaps as needed. You are flexible and able to work variations in line and shift assignments. You have the ability to the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure (whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals), and the ability to calculate raw material consumption rates, production rates, averages, and production efficiencies. You are proficient in Microsoft Office that includes Outlook, Word and Excel.

Pay Transparency Disclosure: The base pay range offered for this position is $36 to $44 per hour and other benefits. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and alignment with market data. Our expectation is that the incumbent will work out of our St Helena location. If the incumbent works out of another location, the wage rate may fall above or below this range. Treasury reserves the right to modify the range in the future.
