Position Description

Primary Purpose:

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of equipment within the assigned asset.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Operation of production equipment to maintain designated operating conditions

  • Surveillance of automated production operations

  • Shutdown and start up of equipment

  • Daily rounds and monitoring of facilities and identification of operational problems

  • Lockout and tagout duties for maintenance work

  • Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns

    Position Requirements

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience/specific knowledge:

  • Must have at least one (1) year power plant or industry equivalent experience

Certifications, Licenses, registrations:

  • Maintain a satisfactory driving record as determined by the company and a current, valid State driver's license

  • Subject to random drug testing

  • Must pass applicable OQ tasks as required

Competencies, skills and abilities:

  • Proficient with assigned core computer programs

  • Follow work procedures independently on less routine/daily task or more complex equipment/processes

  • Ability to work from written or verbal instructions

  • Ability to properly prioritize tasks

  • Identify problems

Physical demands:

  • Primarily inside working on computer

  • Frequently lift and carry, unassisted, items weighing up to 50 pounds

  • Walking, climbing, standing and sitting

  • Frequent outside work and lab work

  • Working Conditions:

  • Shift work, alternating days, nights, holidays, weekends

  • Overtime required

  • Emergency response

  • Call outs

  • On-call

Supervisory responsibility:

  • None
