Position Description
Primary Purpose:
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of equipment within the assigned asset.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Operation of production equipment to maintain designated operating conditions
Surveillance of automated production operations
Shutdown and start up of equipment
Daily rounds and monitoring of facilities and identification of operational problems
Lockout and tagout duties for maintenance work
Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns
Position Requirements
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience/specific knowledge:
- Must have at least one (1) year power plant or industry equivalent experience
Certifications, Licenses, registrations:
Maintain a satisfactory driving record as determined by the company and a current, valid State driver's license
Subject to random drug testing
Must pass applicable OQ tasks as required
Competencies, skills and abilities:
Proficient with assigned core computer programs
Follow work procedures independently on less routine/daily task or more complex equipment/processes
Ability to work from written or verbal instructions
Ability to properly prioritize tasks
Identify problems
Physical demands:
Primarily inside working on computer
Frequently lift and carry, unassisted, items weighing up to 50 pounds
Walking, climbing, standing and sitting
Frequent outside work and lab work
Working Conditions:
Shift work, alternating days, nights, holidays, weekends
Overtime required
Emergency response
Call outs
On-call
Supervisory responsibility:
