Position Description

Kinder Morgan CO2 Company is currently seeking a Plant Roustabout for the SACROC Gas Processing Facilities in Snyder, TX with a hiring range of level 2 to 5 depending on experience and skill set. The successful candidate will serve a vital role in maintaining the safe and efficient operation of all aspects of the plant’s equipment. The SCAROC Gas Processing Facilities employs a multitude of processes which include over 300,000 HP of compression and 4 process Trains which include gas dehydration, NGL recovery, CO2 membranes and Gas fired 2x1 combined cycle aero-derivative (LM6000) turbines, and supporting equipment.. The SACROC Gas Processing Facility is a PSM Facility.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to operations to ensure plant downtime is minimized.

  • Recognize and promote ideas that provide safe, efficient, and cost effective operations, making sure that operating costs are consistent with budgetary constraints.

  • Complete work orders as needed.

  • Interact with contract personnel.

  • Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns.

  • Promote the company’s EHS philosophy and culture.

  • Be a contributing member of the PSM teams.

  • Operate company vehicles during daily activities.

  • Operate mobile equipment, forklift, manlift, etc.

  • Manual Labor.

    Position Requirements

Education Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Specific experience, skills, knowledge, certifications, licenses, competences:

  • Solid safety and environmental practices.

  • Self starter and high drive for results.

  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks.

  • Strong teamwork skills.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to company’s insurers.

  • Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus on attention to detail, and follow work rules.

Working Conditions:

  • Requires physical work involving walking, standing, and exerting up to 50 pounds of force.

  • Facility operations are 24/7, tasks are performed indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions in daylight & darkness.

  • The noise level in the working environment is usually loud.

  • Exposure to process, vessels, and piping systems containing H2S and hydrocarbon gases which are flammable and may be explosive under certain circumstances.

  • Be available for overtime, weekends, and holidays when scheduled or on call.

  • Participation in on call rotation, nust be able to respond to phone calls within 15 minutes and be on site within 45 minutes when on call.

Preferred Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in oil and gas operations.

  • Experience in gas processing.
