Position Summary

We seek a SAP Supply Chain IT Systems Reliability Lead whose primary objective is to align with the business and collaboratively design, deliver, manage, and improve how businesses use information technology (IT) services. It is to ensure Operational Excellence, drive Service Quality, and improve service levels across Supply Chain Applications and Infrastructure Services for APAC platforms, primarily SAP ECC systems covering 14 countries/markets in the Asia Pacific region.

  1. The role will be to perform a change agent responsible for communicating and tracking/supporting delivery performance. He/she will perform quality Change Management and Governance primarily in the SAP domain and Supply Chain Integration applications to ensure our business operates with optimized reliability incidents.

  2. To perform the work effectively, the individual must gain knowledge of processes, functions, and technical architectures in J&J APAC’s SAP ECC platforms in the initial 6 months of onboarding. We have 5 major SAP production instances in APAC by business sectors with different sets of integration systems and satellite systems.

  3. The reliability engineer may need to join the functional build (project and enhancement team) in the initial onboarding stage to learn how SAP systems and functionalities are built, the J&J IT processes, the stakeholders, and the existing data metrics and opportunities.

  4. Provide timely service updates to leadership teams and drive actionable Service Improvement Plans with TS Service Owners and business technology partners.

  5. Manage escalation and vendor management. Review process gaps and remediation efforts, schedules, and risk plans. Influence the maturity of JJTS platforms and services.

The individual will have the following responsibilities:

  • Lead the organization in delivering SLA requirements in a timely manner, identifying and recommending optimization while managing delivery scope and resources.

  • Implement metrics and observability to look at all dimensions of an application’s health and provide a holistic view of business process performance

  • Lead Change Advisory Board, standardize and implement Change and Release controls across ERP and integration platforms.

  • Strategize and shape the future change and support operation model for the Asia Pacific region. Given the region's time zone challenges, we need to shape the model for the future while driving the standard and opportunities with a global team

  • Partner with the manufacturing and distribution center technology team to shape and improve supply chain site-related operations through communication cadence and escalation management

  • Manage escalations and coordinate resolution efforts with key stakeholders (internal and external) by working cross-functionally to ensure issue ownership, action items, and communications are fulfilled

  • Reduce escalation volume by leading improvement plans - monitoring and developing dashboards to proactively monitor trends and use data to work with other TS Service Owners to meet expectations and/or optimize productivity

  • Build and sustain effective communications with all stakeholders in the company to achieve maximum client satisfaction

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 5 years of experience in delivering IT services

  • Technical skills in the areas of SAP systems and satellite applications, with technology foundation on SAP applications or basis

  • Resilience and GRIT mindset

  • Experience working in Global Multinational Corporations with matrix organization structure. Understand global service delivery models and their complexities

  • Extensive experience working with operations, infrastructure, call centre, and end-user teams to achieve the sectors' goals

  • Has a good understanding of metrics and the ability to manage teams to key performance indicators

  • Strong leadership skills and proven ability to collaborate with different stakeholders representing various ITIL/ITSM disciplines

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including effectively communicating complex and technical issues to a diverse audience with clarity and conciseness
