ECS is seeking a

Sr DevOps Security Engineer to work in our

Sierra Vista, AZ office.

ECS is seeking a talented professional to join our team to build next-generation data solutions, such as NETCOM Edge, to strengthen the cybersecurity of federal networks and systems and aggressively grow the Artificial Intelligence DevSecOps capabilities in hybrid environments. The NETCOM Edge product is a data management technology platform comprised of off-the-shelf (COTS) configuration packages and custom code to translate common enterprise data into profound and actional insights, decisions and outcomes for military and business decision makers.

We are seeking a technical team member who thrives in a dynamic and highly collaborative environment where problem-solving, critical thinking and cyber security knowledge are a must. The successful candidate must have real-world experience maintaining hybrid environments and applied

expertise in both infrastructure and software configuration management, managing Kubernetes clusters, troubleshooting complex technical issues and providing exceptional customer service.

Required Skills

  • Must be a US citizen with ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance

  • 10+ years of experience in IT operations and support

  • 5+ years of experience leading the implementation of new systems and technologies, including containerization and automation tools,

    working with and supporting the execution of changes managed by an established CM process based in the ITIL framework

  • 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, supporting, monitoring and maintaining systems using Ansible or other open-source technologies across multiple environments

  • Advanced technical knowledge and practical experience in the following areas:

    • Managing and dev

      eloping within a Kubernetes, Docker and Helm architecture, such as container hardening, Kubernetes network policies, ingress controllers, custom resource definitions, and operators

    • Deploying, configuring and managing Kubernetes clusters in Rancher production and non-production environments (RKE2), ensuring high availability, security, and performance across the infrastructure

    • Validating and documenting compatibility of system components, including monitoring systems for configuration drift

    • Implementing and utilizing source control tools and IaC / CaC automation technologies, i.e., Terraform, Ansible, FluxCD and Gitlab CI/Runner

    • Building and adhering to system architecture and engineering disciplines

    • Writing bash and Python code

  • Familiarity with the cyber security domain to include governance and risk management, compliance, business continuity and disaster recovery, encryption, software development security, access control, network security / secure architecture within a Zero Trust strategy:

    • Ability to support access control models that provide logical separation of tenant datasets through role-based access control (RBAC)

    • Ability to isolate workloads into dedicated clusters for data segregation during data preparation

    • Ability to take advantage of full disk encryption and transport layer security encryption in transit necessary to support sensitive data handling
