A) Job Objective
The Supply Chain Manager's objective is to enhance the supply chain strategically, mastering its lifecycle and driving digital transformation. This role involves using technological innovations to improve all stages of supply chain operations, from sourcing to delivery, leading to increased efficiency, reduced costs, and improved customer satisfaction. The goal is to create a forward-looking supply chain system that adheres to current industry best practices and is adaptable to future market changes and technological advancements.
B) Key Result Areas
Lifecycle Management: Oversee the supply chain lifecycle, ensuring efficient integration and management of procurement, logistics, inventory, distribution, and customer fulfilment.
Digital Transformation: Identify opportunities for implementing new technologies to enhance data visibility, analytics, and predictive capabilities in the supply chain.
Collaboration: Work with IT and other stakeholders to develop and deploy a digital roadmap that aligns with business goals and delivers measurable benefits.
Team Management: Lead cross-functional teams to execute supply chain strategies, ensuring alignment with the organization's direction and compliance with industry standards.
Process Improvement: Initiate improvements in supply chain processes through automation and digital interventions.
Performance Analysis: Continuously analyse supply chain performance metrics and use insights to drive improvements in cost, quality, service, and speed.
External Partnerships: Collaborate with suppliers, logistics providers, and technology vendors to create an integrated digital supply chain ecosystem.
Technology Integration: Oversee the integration of IoT, AI, and machine learning technologies to optimize operations and improve forecasting accuracy.
Consumer-Centric Approach: Ensure the supply chain is responsive to consumer feedback and market trends.
Continuous Innovation: Stay updated on digital trends, evaluate their impact on the supply chain, and advocate for smart technology investments.

Professional Certification: Supply chain certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) are advantageous.
Additional Certifications: Certifications in project management (PMP, PRINCE2) or digital transformation are beneficial.
Continued Education: Demonstrated commitment to continued education and training in emerging technologies, digital tools, and data analytics within the supply chain field.
Relevant Studies: An academic background that includes studies in system dynamics, operations research, or similar fields enhances decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
