Full Job Description

Primary focus is to provide clinical expertise through consultation, education and training of ASP’s products to both internal and external customers.

Key activity is to provide best-practice solutions to customers in partnership with the Account Executive in the execution of plans that meet or exceed the Company’s business objectives.

Responsible for developing long- term customer relationships, which build loyalty and confidence in ASP as the preferred vendor.

Responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with strategic accounts while positioning and delivering economic and value-related solutions.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. To provide clinical expertise to customers on ASP products through consultation, assessment and education.

  2. Functions as a clinical expert to ASP staff on new product development/ launches, market changes/ trends and the identification of customer driven needs and/or requests.

  3. Follow up on clinical customer issues and provides information to ASP team representing the voice of the customer.

  4. Communicates business opportunities to the sales team in a timely manner.

  5. Engages in ongoing assessment and evaluation of ASP products in the market, works collaboratively with Sales and Marketing to achieve business objectives.

  6. Plans and delivers educational programs and training to ASP employees.

  7. Plans, develops and implements customer educational programs to meet current and future customer needs.

  8. Maintains and expands clinical/technical knowledge of all ASP products.

  9. Plans, prioritizes and manages a work schedule which meets customer expectations in a timely and cost effective manner.

  10. Maintains active membership in professional organization(s) to continue professional growth and development.

  11. Know, understand and follow ASP policies and procedures related to work activities performed in area of responsibility.

KEY SKILL/KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Clinical expertise in surgical instrumentation including endoscopic instruments.

  2. Knowledge of sterilization and high-level disinfection

  3. Knowledge of operating room, central processing and endoscopy suite practices, procedures and protocols.

  4. Knowledge of Perioperative nursing standards, infection control standards, and SPD guidelines for practice.

  5. Knowledge of ASP’s products and competitive products.

  6. Knowledge of market changes or trends in healthcare environments utilizing ASP’s products.

  7. Strong analytical skills and ability to think strategically Highly developed interpersonal/people skills.

  8. Ability to articulate and effective communication skills (written and verbal) at all levels.

  9. Demonstrated customer focus and strong relationship building skills.

  10. Strong team skills, both building and partnering.

  11. Strong presentation skills, both preparing and delivering.

  12. Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.

KEY EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  1. RN with BSN degree in healthcare related field preferred.

  2. Minimum 3 years of current clinical experience in OR and /or SPD and/or Endoscopy, and/or infection prevention practices or 3 years clinical experience in medical device preferred.

  3. Experience in a management position in OR, SPD or Endoscopy preferred.

  4. Minimum 1 years’ experience in delivering educational programs/presentations preferred.

  5. Certification in peri-operative Nursing (CNOR), Sterile Processing or Endoscopy preferred.

  6. English Communication capability preferred.

  7. Proficient in Microsoft software applications, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint required.
