This is a pipeline role, while there is not an immediate opening, we want to build relationships with prospective candidates like you. The Presales Engineer will oversee presales opportunities and development of complex projects, managing all stages of the projects from scope denition through project closure. The Presales Engineer is the architect and owner of solutions proposed to our public safety customers. This includes development, design, evaluation, and modication of system solutions and architecture to meet customer requirements. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Radio coverage design and analysis Generating equipment lists Describing system designs, including creating diagrams Understanding customer requirements Calculating power and networking requirements Participating in proposal reviews and contract negotiations Providing consultative guidance to customers and the sales team Delivering presentations to customers Coordinating with various functional teams to address business unit goals in proposals and win-strategies Developing implementation approaches and service plans to win competitive projects Meeting/exceeding customer requirements and suggesting value alternatives when requirements cannot be met Managing solutions to meet sales, revenue and margin goals Driving sole source & RFP (Request for Proposal) projects to completion Collaborating with project team members in the development of proposed solutions Working with third-party vendors to develop fully integrated solutions Qualications A Bachelor's of Science degree is preferred. Desired emphasis in Electrical, Wireless, Computer, Network Engineering or Computer Science. Seeking 4+ years of experience in sales engineering and/or solutions architecture. Strong general knowledge of wireless communications fundamentals and voice/data architectures - both public and private (e.g. APCO P25, LTE, 802.11, 3G/4G) is highly desirable. Strong general knowledge of IP networking architecture, protocols and security is highly desirable. Knowledge of Radio Frequency coverage predictions, trafc/capacity modeling, and related toolsets is an asset. Strong written and oral communications skills with the ability to present complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to build strong relationships with internal and e
