Remitly, Inc., Seattle, WA -- Senior Software Engineers: Own and develop the data, rules engine, and simulation products that drive fraud and risk decisions. Develop platforms that allow teams to provide data to risk decisions systems and machine learning domain. Discover new sources of information to improve risk models. Set and maintain the standard for engineering with design, quality, and long-term code maintainability. Partner with machine learning engineers, risk specialists and data scientists to provide decisions that reduce fraud and compliance risks. Position requires Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field, and 3 years of experience with software development, system design, software design patterns and algorithms, and driving technical designs to achieve quantifiable goals. Experience must include 3 years of experience with each of the following: product feature design and development; developing backend systems using Java and APIs, including testing and debugging; building, delivering, and maintaining reliable and scalable backend services on a public cloud platform using GCP, AWS, and Azure; container and orchestration systems, including Docker and Kubernetes; and Bash, Bazel, C#, Git, Go, GraphQL, HTTP Java, JavaScript, object oriented programming, Python, Ruby, Rust, SQL, Splunk, and Typescript. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the United States based on manager approval.
