Amazon One Medical is seeking an experienced RN Patient Safety Manager to ensure the organization’s systems and processes align with regulatory standards and promote a culture of safety. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and strategic thinker with a strong background in patient safety and healthcare regulations.
The RN Patient Safety Manager will be responsible for shaping and advancing patient safety initiatives across Amazon One Medical. This includes developing and refining programs, ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements, and fostering collaboration among clinical and operational teams to eliminate avoidable harm. As the RN Program Manager, you will leverage your clinical and patient safety backgrounds to further advance patient safety at AOM. In this collaborative role, you will use your excellent problem-solving and communication skills to refine and drive processes that promote a culture of safety across the organization. You will effectively manage projects that ensure compliance with evidence-based practice, regulatory standards, and our standard work.
Key job responsibilities
Patient Safety Program Development: Lead and support initiatives related to training, policy development, and regulatory compliance, including participation in Patient Safety Organizations (PSO) such as ECRI.
Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure adherence to patient safety regulations, including OSHA, CDC, CMS, and Medicare guidelines.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with senior leadership, department leads, and clinical teams to educate staff, implement safety protocols, and develop corrective action plans.
Quality & Performance Improvement: Drive performance improvement plans, regularly review safety events, conduct root cause analysis, analyze safety data, and ensure effective execution of safety programs.
Accreditation & Standards: Provide expertise on state and National level accreditation and Joint Commission standards, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
Leadership & Strategy: Partner with leadership to develop strategic patient safety initiatives, manage projects, and oversee execution of safety-related activities.
Perform first line clinical reviews of applicable safety reports and initial report reviews as needed.
Basic Qualifications
RN License (BSN preferred but not required).
1+ years of leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
3+ years of work experience in a clinical healthcare environment.
3+ years of patient safety experience, including program development and implementation.
Strong knowledge of safety concepts including Human Factors and experience in Case Reviews, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis
Strong knowledge of OSHA, CDC, CMS, and Medicare regulatory requirements.
Experience with state and National level accreditation and Joint Commission processes.
Understanding of regulations related to primary care and remote care settings.
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) or CPHQ (Certified Professional Healthcare Quality) strongly preferred.
BSN or MSN License
Program management experience
Hands on experience with PI tools and methodology such as Lean

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $90,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $149,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
