As a Manager of Business intelligence team in AWS Analytics Engineering, you will be responsible for owning end-to-end analytical roadmap for your supported AWS services. You will work closely with business leaders, finance, and technical teams to analyze many non-standard and unique business problems, creatively problem-solving to deliver actionable output. You will lead and oversee business intelligence initiatives across multiple AWS products to provide accurate and timely business metrics that enable data-driven decision making across AWS. As you design your service's analytical capabilities, you will be redefining best practices with a cloud-based approach to scalability and automation.
Key job responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of junior and mid-level business intelligence/data engineers.
Lead prioritization of projects based on business impact and actionable insights.
Enable team self-sufficiency through training, transparency, and access to methodologies
Establish team business practices, roles and responsibilities, and professional development opportunities.
Partner with senior leadership Product/finance/Business development functions and provide actionable insights on a regular cadence.
Build and maintain the data infrastructure to answer business questions with data using data engineering best practices.
Create a analytical roadmap for your supported services and oversee its execution through collaboration with Data Engineers, Business Intelligence Engineers, Data Scientists, Business Analysts, and Product/Program Managers.
Understand the business and technical requirements, and make decisions that help make the products/programs smoother.

Utility Computing (UC)
AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

Basic Qualifications
Advanced degree in Business, Science, Technology or related disciplines
8+ years of business intelligence and analytics experience
5+ years of delivering results managing a business intelligence or analytics team, including employee development and performance management experience
Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership.
Proven track record in implementing organizational change management strategies.
Experience in creating analytics roadmap and making appropriate tradeoffs when needed.
Experience in data manipulation through SQL, ETL, Python, Relational/Non relational database systems.
Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
Preferred Qualifications
4+ years of working with very large data warehousing environment experience
- Experience in working with GenAI tools for analytical use cases.
- Experience in leading transformative initiatives
- Understanding of statistical methods and machine learning model deployment.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
