Description
The Senior Mortgage Loan Closer is responsible for closing Conventional, FHA, VA, refinance transactions, and second mortgage transactions in various states.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Reviews title commitments and invoices; reconciles fees.
• Prepares initial and final Closing Disclosures.
• Reviews hazard insurance policy for correct coverage.
• Reconciles Closing Disclosures with Closing Agents.
• Ensures proper compliance with TRID timelines for delivery of Closing Disclosure.
• Prepares closing packages and legal documentation for delivery.
• Reviews and audits document packages for accuracy in accordance with agency and investor guidelines.
• Prepares wires and funding packages.
• Responsible for daily management of pipeline of loan closings, prioritizing based on scheduled closing date.
• Monitors pipeline daily for compliance-related variance alerts and warnings and addresses and/or clears all alerts and warnings prior to loan closing.
• Corresponds with Title companies, settlement agents and/or attorneys.
• Reviews and follows up for title commitments for accuracy and corrections.
• Completes Verifications of Employment.
• Addresses and clears all post-closing and Quality Control exceptions within the timelines established by the respective departments.
• Assists the Closing Manager with managerial tasks and provides coverage as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Thorough understanding of TRID, federal and state regulations, and company closing policies and procedures
• Solid knowledge of practical experience with applicable technology tools including, but not limited to Encompass and Microsoft Office suite of products.
• Ability to handle confidential material in a professional and highly ethical manner.
• Effective time management and organization skills to prioritize multiple objectives and achieve volume goals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all employees of the Company.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and adhere to company’s policies and procedures.
• Excellent analytical abilities and detail-oriented approach
Education, Certification, and License Requirements
• High school diploma or GED
Experience Required
• 3-5 years of mortgage lending closing experience is required.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
