Position Highlights
We would love for you to come join our team! This position is primarily weekdays with rotating on call. Potential for student loan repayment.
SUMMARY: Supervises all operations of the laboratory, policies, procedures, Quality control within the lab, patient care, and testing to assure accurate and timely test results. Establishes tools and objectives for the laboratory department and ensures that the laboratory is in compliance in all regulatory guidelines.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages employees in Laboratory; Responsible for overseeing the direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science required.
• Minimum of 2-3 years laboratory experience.
• Previous management experience preferred, but not required.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS:
• MLT (ASCP) or CLS(NCA) certification required.
• This position requires a valid driver’s license, and that the employee is insurable by the Avera Health automobile liability insurance carrier.
