JOB REQUIREMENTS: Under the direction of the Department Manager, the Machine Operator ensures the production of company products at the highest quality and at the lowest possible cost, meeting company policies and procedures. The Machine Operator will act in a manner that is consistent with Gordon Aluminum\'s Customer 1st Philosophy. The general purpose of the Machine Operator is to operate machines to perform one or more machine functions on metal work pieces. Maintaining safe work habits and a work area abiding by all safety policies Lift and load work pieces into the machine Takes the first part to QC Lab for first piece inspection approval (Must be able to operate Portage Table) or get assistants from Quality Tech Sets approved first piece at the machine center for reference until job is completed Checks all the dimensions and Process notes specified on the In-Process Inspection Report (Deburring countersink, or other minor operations to finish the piece) Performs final piece count, print tag and enter production in Shop-Trak when the order is done Performs required cleaning of machine and area Performs any and all other duties assigned by management See complete job posting by clicking on the link provided in job posting ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Physical Demands refers to the level and/or duration of physical exertion generally required to perform occupational takes (sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing and pulling).
