Position Summary:

The Graphic Design and Production Specialist executes graphic design tactics and coordinates related

print and digital production in collaboration with the Marketing and Communication team and other ASA

departments, as required. This position ensures deadlines are met, and all campaigns and tactics meet

business objectives and strengthen the ASA brand across print, online, and mobile channels and

applications. Ensures the integrity of the ASA brand and sub-brands reflect established brand guidelines.

Primary Position Responsibilities:

Create visual and graphic design and layout for printed and digital media, such as direct mail,

print collateral, advertising, exhibits, on-site signage, posters, presentations, web, social

media, and other items that incorporate branded and campaign messaging. Maintain all

branded templates for stationery, PowerPoint decks, and documents to ensure

Communications Toolkit is current and useful for the organization.

Coordinate department and campaign projects from conception to delivery as assigned,

meeting deadlines and managing budgets. Create process efficiencies wherever possible.

Manage the production schedules in centralized calendar and process for documenting and

providing artwork for advertising across all channels, including ASA publications, email

banners, and MOUs with other organizations.

Manage vendor relationships to ensure best output and tactical delivery, including securing

quotes, understanding production specifications, providing files and art direction, approving

proofs, etc. Build and maintain relationships with external vendors and resources, such as

freelancers, production crews, printers, mailers, and graphic designers.

Assist in compilation of promotional and on-site materials for ASA meetings and events,

including layout and production for tactics like ASA Meeting Guides, slide presentations, and

signage.

Provide design services for presentations (e.g., PowerPoint, Canva) for key staff and member

leaders, ensuring appropriately branded templates and presentation best practices are utilized.

Creates visual elements to convey complex information and message takeaways.

Coordinate the centralized process for selection and purchasing of ASA-branded wearables

and promotional items. Organize on-site and online sales channels. Accountable for quality,

brand appropriateness, and budget.

Provide art direction and brand guidance on video development.

Stays up to date on all current design and typography trends, as well as presentation and

graphic design software.

Manage ASA awards and certificates for events and meetings, including on-site logistics.

Support photography needs and assets, coordinates event-based shot list and schedule,

assists in managing photo archives and stock photo resources. Retouch, resize, manipulate

photo assets as needed for variety of applications and communication channels.

Position Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in graphic design, fine arts, or related field preferred.

Minimum 3 years of graphic design and production experience required. Portfolio with a scope

of produced health care, education, association or similar collateral pieces preferred.

Strong brand identity experience preferred.

Experience with project management a plus, particularly in managing workflow.
