Primary Purpose of this Position:

The Director, Logistics & Transportation will have responsibility for leading the regional Beverage business Logistics strategy and operations. The role will deliver a market-differentiating service and experience to our customers at a managed and agreed level of cost to serve.

What will you be responsible for?

• Design strategies and supply chains to enhance customer experience and reduce costs in warehousing, inventory, and transportation, while providing leadership and guidance to capture identified opportunities effectively.

• Lead talent development in logistics, including defining roles, career paths, and required skills, and implementing training plans to upgrade department effectiveness and efficiency.

• Possess extensive experience in national and international supply chain and distribution issues, including market challenges impacting a consumer packaging company.

• Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and implement long-term strategies for improving customer experience and supply chain operations, resulting in enhanced operating results.

• Develop strategies to optimize cost-to-serve across various functions and manages a team responsible for tracking and controlling end-to-end supply chain costs, while aligning with corporate functions.

• Identify waste and opportunities for shared cost savings through collaboration with customers and the commercial team.

• Define strategic direction and ensures the achievement of day-to-day supply chain deliverables.

• Support leadership and change management to ensure regional logistics functions align with regional operations.

• Share responsibility for national and international tender processes, vendor management, and future collaboration models.

• Lead the team towards load optimization and carrier strategy compliance using transportation management systems.

What are we looking for?

• Completed Bachelors degree in Business Management, Supply Chain/Logistics or related.

• Leadership experience in Operations and Supply Chain or in combination with consulting experience

• Project management experience;to plan, control and implement global supply chain projects

• Advanced/Fluent English is mandatory.

• Spanish is desirable.

• Project Management:

• Organizational development and personnel management skills.

• Knowledge of:

• Consumer packaging industry, food or beverage distribution. Other industries with national and international,just in time delivery models will also be considered.

• South America ransportation, customs requirements and import / export within the countries.

• Developing relationships and motivating teams.

• Establishing and leading Supply Chain programs in conjunction with IT and business teams.
