Nvidia Senior System Q&R Architect in Santa Clara, California

Join NVIDIA, a trailblazer at the forefront of graphics and artificial intelligence performance, efficiency, and innovation. From our roots as a groundbreaking graphic's company, we have evolved into a global leader in artificial intelligence, continuously pushing the boundaries to solve sophisticated challenges across diverse industries.

NVIDIA Silicon Solutions Group seeks a versatile engineer to join the HW ArchDev team. The SSG team is uniquely positioned to have an end-to-end view of the product development cycle—from early arch definition through bringup to product release. Our ArchDev arm is a hub for all silicon and system-level feature development, tradeoff analysis, system integration solutions, and system POR alignment. We are looking for an engineer who can identify and build groundbreaking solutions to challenges stemming from system-level trends in power, thermal, and electrical energy and their impact on quality and reliability.

What you will be doing:

  • Defining the problem statements arising from system and chip-level trends in power/thermal/electricals and their impact on the competitiveness of our products. This would mean expertise in projecting such trends versus the physical limits of various components that make up the system.

  • Crafting a roadmap of possible solutions to address such problem statements by architecting system or silicon features, improving methods or our understanding of the physical limits, and ensuring the future generation of products are designed, defined, and testable to provide high quality and reliability.

  • Ensure that both internal and external components of the computing systems follow good practices to meet product quality and reliability goals. This includes tying product segment goals to tangible asks from various component teams, architecting new production or sampled flows at NVIDIA, or influencing vendor management teams.

What we need to see:

  • BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience

  • 12+ years of relevant experience

  • Deep understanding of electricals and thermals in high-performance CPU and GPU systems, including power delivery, dissipation, and thermal management.

  • Track record of innovations to solve long-term industry trends in power/current/thermal densities.

  • Ability to architect hardware or firmware/software features to ensure testability at the edge of physical limits across the production line.

It’s not just technology, though! It is our people who are some of the brightest in the world. At the center of NVIDIA's culture are our core values, like innovation, perfection, determination, and teamwork, that guide us to be the best we can be. This makes NVIDIA one of the most innovative and multifaceted places to work. We do our life's work here, and if you are creative and driven, we want to hear from you.

The base salary range is 196,000 USD - 356,500 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits (https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/benefits/) . NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
