Nvidia Senior Software Engineer, Android AI Stacks in Santa Clara, California

This position is for a senior engineer, architect or engineering manager who will technically lead a small group of engineers to develop and ship AI-focused consumer entertainment and cloud gaming products into market. You should have a proven track record of strong software development experiences in Android platforms and/or AI stacks including software architecture design, quick prototyping, code review, build process and test automation while leading the communication and teamwork vital for successful product launch into market.

What you’ll be doing:

While working in the agile team, you will deep dive into the whole Android software stacks to enable NVIDIA AI engines and services to develop NVIDIA-branded living room entertainment products. As a technical lead in team, you will design, develop, and debug functional and non-functional aspects of AI stacks, services and apps on top of NVIDIA GPU technologies. And, system performance engineering on AI use cases is also a meaningful area where your crucial contribution is expected for the best user experiences.

What we need to see:

  • Hands-on experience on Android software stack development.

  • Hands-on experience on ML/DL software stacks to develop AI use cases

  • Deep understanding on system software internals (like CPU feature, process scheduling, multithreaded programming, memory management and I/O systems)

  • Considerable programming experience in C/C++ and/or Java

  • Strong Computer Science fundamentals and problem solving skills

  • 7+ years of experience in software development

  • BS/MS/PhD degree in Computer Science and Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Practical experience in modifying Android internal components and adding new features.

  • Background on AI engines like NVIDIA CUDA, TensorRT, cuDNN and Triton Inference Servers, or corresponding components on other platforms.

  • Practical experience on AI SDKs like NVIDIA Maxine and RIVA, or corresponding components on other platforms.

  • Understanding on Linux kernel internals and system performance improvement methodologies.

  • Proactive and able to work efficiently across different functional teams.

The base salary range is 180,000 USD - 339,250 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
