Job Summary:

Caterpillar is seeking a Lean Black Belt in our Lean Center of Excellence supporting enterprise-wide Lean development opportunities. The Lean Black Belt will be responsible for maintenance and creation of Lean training content used throughout the organization including within Workday as well as with external training providers. They will help organizations with their development plans, lead facilitator courses and support best practice sharing initiatives. As a member of the Lean Center of Excellence team, you will need to have a growth mindset, promote continuous improvement, and help build a defect-free culture. What you will do:

  • Managing and supporting projects related to updates or creation of new training, programs and website content

  • Leading facilitator training for Lean Leadership, Table Top Simulated Work Environment and other courses

  • Supporting leadership in cascading best practices and communication initiatives

  • Providing technical expertise for Workday course offerings, enrollments, and content creation approvals

  • Responsible for determining Operational Excellence programs and contents in Workday

  • Supporting groups with recommended development plans to deliver process improvements through the implementation of Lean principles

  • Leading, coaching, teaching and developing others to use the tools and methodologies of Lean to drive sustained continuous improvement

Problem Solving : Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

• Identifies and documents specific problems and resolution alternatives.

• Examines a specific problem and understands the perspective of each involved stakeholder.

• Develops alternative techniques for assessing accuracy and relevance of information.

Additional Information:

The primary locations for this position are Sanford-NC or Mossville-IL
